Hello! My name is Ruth Boston, and I am a dedicated teacher residing in the beautiful Pomeroon region of Guyana, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant cultures of my homeland has shaped who I am today. From the sweet aroma of freshly cooked pepperpot during the holidays to the lively celebrations of Mashramani, I cherish every aspect of our rich Guyanese heritage.
As an educator, I strive to instill a sense of pride and understanding of our culture in my students. Guyana is often misunderstood, with many only recalling events like the Jonestown tragedy, but there is so much more to share. Our country is home to stunning places like the Leisure Inn in New Amsterdam and the serene Pomeroon River, where the beauty of nature meets the warmth of our community.
