Greetings! My name is Vernel Narine, and I am a dedicated teacher based in the beautiful Pomeroon region of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant communities, I developed a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, which I strive to pass on to my students. I love to share these culinary experiences with my friends and family, often reminiscing about the tastes of home that remind us of our roots, no matter where we may be.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the bonds we create through our shared experiences and traditions. It’s heartwarming to hear comments from our community members, like “Wham yuh en wan go kaidur falls??”, which remind me of our adventurous spirit and connection to our homeland.
